coaching for students
what is coaching?
Coaching is a collaborative process that helps you clarify what you want and create a plan to make it happen.
Coaching isn’t tutoring, therapy, academic counseling, or advising. Coaching makes space for your whole self and focuses on growth, goal-setting, and action in the present to help you build the future you want.
You set the agenda and goals for our coaching sessions. I’ll ask questions, offer reflections and resources, and help you connect the dots between where you are now and where you want to go.
Coaching is a space that’s fully yours to think out loud, get unstuck, and explore what’s possible next.
what we can work on
Coaching sessions are personalized and can focus on areas like:
Exploring your values, interests, and strengths
Making aligned choices about college, majors, or next steps after graduation
Exploring alternatives to universities, like community college, trade school, or a gap year
Building structure and balance during busy or stressful times
Strengthening motivation, follow-through, and accountability
Cultivating confidence and managing self-doubt
Clarifying goals or direction during transitions
Figuring out what kind of work or life feels meaningful to you
how it works
Everyone one needs something different, so we’ll decide together what’s most helpful for you.
Some students meet for 2-4 sessions to work through a specific decision or challenge. Others prefer a series of 6+ sessions over several months to build habits, reflect on progress, and stay accountable toward their goals.
Sessions are typically 50 minutes and take place virtually via Zoom weekly or bi-weekly.
